The History of the Savannah. A kitten sired by a serval ( a small African wild cat ) on a female domestic cat in 1986 was the beginning of the Savannah as a breed.
They’re the largest cats: a mature cat weighs an average of 15 kg (33 lb) and reaches 60 cm (1.9 ft) in height. Savannah cats are known for their high level of intelligence, calm temper, curiosity, and active nature.
